Sam Folkman

Sam is a lifelong resident of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. After earning a degree in Music Education from Maranatha Baptist University, he began working to build the music program at the Academy of Excellence in Milwaukee where he is the music director. Sam and his wife Melodie serve at Brookside Baptist Church in Brookfield, WI. In 2025, the Folkmans welcomed a daughter, Ophelia.

Sam also enjoys weightlifting, raising reptiles and saltwater fish, drinking coffee, and studying music history. He also spent four years laying concrete and eight years as a cook.
